Cops suspect man was killed by two new security guards of building

A 58-year-old man was found murdered with his hands and legs tied by a rope inside the lift of a newly constructed building last morning.
Baburao Vitthal Moghekar, a site supervisor for Ambika Complex, near Senapati Bapat Road, left home for Gokhale Nagar on Tuesday night, but never returned.
According to Police Inspector Bhimrao Tele of the Chatuhshrungi police station, his son, Sandeep, tried searching for him the next day but could not trace him. When Sandeep entered the Ambika complex, he found his father's chappals lying near the building.
Tied up and gagged
Moghekar was later found lying inside the lift of the newly constructed building, allu00a0 tied upu00a0 and gagged.
Sandeep, terrified at the sight, released his father of the bondages and took him to a nearby hospital where the doctors declared him dead on arrival.
However, the reason behind the murder is yet to be ascertained.
After Sandeep's complaint, the police have registered a case against two security personnel Satyanarayan and Rambabu Yadav, who work night shifts in the building complex.
Suspects on the run
The suspects hail from Uttar Pradesh and are absconding since Tuesday night, police informed.
The absconding suspects were working for the security agency run by RS Singh and were hired four days before the incident.
However, the agency owner had no information about the duo nor were they registered with the local police.
Lax Attitude
Deputy Commissioner of Police (Zone III) Dnyaneshwar Chavan, said, "The agency owners are instructed to inform the local police station about the new people they hire. Agency owners are expected to give all the relevant information along with photographs of the employees. But most of the agencies do not follow the norms. Action against all such errant owners will be taken."
