Pune rural police arrested Dengarya Hanumant Rathod on Sunday from Bhosari in connection with the murder of RTI activist Satish Shetty. The Vadgaon-Mawal Sessions Court has sent Rathod to police custody until January 28.
Narco test
The police asked the court to allow them to conduct a narco-analysis test on Advocate Vijay Dnyaneshwar Dabhade (45), the prime accused in the case.
Police arrested Dabhade, his clerk Pramod Dattatray Waghware (26) and the client Parshuram Tirana Telagu alias Jakkal (42) for their alleged involvement in Shetty's murder on Friday from Talegaon. The trio has been sent to police custody untilu00a0 January 25.
Shetty was murdered when he was taking a morning walk on January 13. He had exposed many land scams in the Maval region using RTI.
