Having been sidelined in the recent past by the Bhartiya Janta Party, veteran leader Lal Krishna Advani has given vent to his anger on the occasion of the 95th birthday celebration of Sindhi spiritual guru JP Vaswani in the city yesterday.

He said that those who get a big political post become egoistic and develop a superiority complex. Lashing out: LK Advani spoke on the 95th birthday celebration of Sindhi spiritual guru JP Vaswani yesterday

He said, “Some people who achieve bigger political positions in a short span become egoistic and feel that they are superior and more intelligent than others. However, intelligence and emotional appeal is less important than spirituality which teaches us to give and to not take things from others,” said Advani.

He said that in the last few years, corruption has increased in the nation because of such egoistic politicians who misuse their powers and posts.

He added, in an indirect attack on Modi, “When we meet some people, we feel that they are full of intelligence. However, if they do not have the spiritual maturity to give, they can’t progress. Those who live honestly are the happiest.”

JP Vaswani, supporting Modi, said Indians are known for their good character and the country’s political leaders should respect that.

“Every time I meet an Indian of good character I remember Advani,” said Vaswani.u00a0
