Air India pilots won't strike

The Indian Commercial Pilots Association (ICPA) on Sunday said it has withdrawn the strike notice given to the Air India management following its assurance that all pending issues will resolved over the next two months.

"We had a successful meeting with the management following which we have withdrawn our strike call notice with immediate effect," said ICPA general secretary RS Otaal.

The pilots' body was agitated over the continuous deferment of salary allowances for the past four to five months. The body also claimed it was the "erroneous policies of the management which were responsible for the losses" that the national carrier had accrued over the years and demanded "fixing responsibility for the mess".
