What started out as a curiosity about baking turned into sheer interest and pushed Vijaya Shankar, a housewife and a mother of two daughters (MJ Pavithra of Radio One and Priyanka) to undergo a six-month-long course in baking and confectionary. 
This was almost a decade ago and now Shankar bakes throughout the year especially during Christmas and New Years. All that you have to do is pick up the phone and order one day in advance.
Confessing that the guts to bake and sell happened once her baking experiments with her friends and family started being successful, Shankar says, "I love baking.
Every time I bake a cake I am excited. Christmas is the time when most people prefer cakes to other sweets and baking becomes more enjoyable for me."
According to her, every year end the thought of shopping for baking, new containers and ideas of innovative designs and shapes of cakes stimulate her.
Her baking corner in the kitchen gets ready from the end of November as she gears to lure Bangalore with a variety of baked delights like black forest, pineapple pastry, chocolate cake and more including the traditional Christmas fruits and plum cakes.
