A police official said that the victim identified as Brenda Hei Becker Heidekku was attending the wedding ceremony of the daughter of IAS officer V K Bahuguna that was being solemnised at 5 Ashoka Road.
"Bahuguna called the police as she was his guest. We have registered an FIR under section 379/356 of IPC on the complaint of Bahuguna," said a senior police official.u00a0

Speaking with this reporter, Brenda said that she was very interested in experiencing the mehndi culture and music ceremony at Indian weddings but had no idea that she would become the victim of such a bitter experience.

"I am leaving India and don't want to talk about the incident," said Brenda.V K Bahuguna is the additional secretary in Nagot Rain-fed area authority planning commission, government of India. He told MiD DAY that Brenda is a senior colleague of his son-in-law, Tanmay Kala.

"My son-in-law works with a US-based firm where Brenda works as well. When she heard about his marriage she expressed a desire to visit India and witness the rites.u00a0

I helped her acquire her passport in one day," said Bahuguna.Meanwhile, police said that the snatching was committed by three juvenile offenders. "No one has been arrested so far. We only know that they (the accused) are juvenile," said a senior police official.

Two men on a motorcycle posing as policemen tried to snatch the purse of a woman near Dyal Singh College in south Delhi on Friday.
The two men posing as cops asked the woman, identified as Guddi Devi, to hand over her belongings to them for safekeeping, saying that there had been an incident of robbery nearby.
When Devi asked them to produce their identity cards, the two did not do so and insisted that they were Delhi policemen. Devi then grew suspicious on which the duo tried to snatch her purse.
However, she resisted and pushed them hard and their motorcycle fell down. Sensing trouble, the two fled on foot abandoning their motorcycle.
