Anna to move Sc
Social activist Anna Hazare will be moving Supreme Court today seeking its intervention to prevent the government from suppressing his fast from August 16 as it did in case of Baba Ramdev. Hazare had announced indefinite fast from August 16 at Jantar Mantar in a bid to put pressure on the government to have a strong lokpal to fight corruption. "Government said we will suppress the agitation of Anna Hazare as had been done in the case of Ramdev. Is this democracy or autocracy? You cannot suppress.... That is why we will go to the Supreme Court tomorrow," Hazare said on Sunday. Hazare said that the Constitution has given right to every citizen to protest democratically and he will start his indefinite fast from August 16 as announced.
