If you love figurative paintings, drop in at Art2day Gallery's latest group exhibition. They are showcasing 50 artworks by 10 artists from Mumbai, Pune and Kolhapur. The line-up of artists includes HR Das, Ramesh Pachpande, Promod Krulekar, Vijay Dupatre, Ram Kharatmal, Ajay Deshpande, Datta Thube, Amol Pawar, Arvind Mahajan, and Sudhakar Chavan.

This exhibition is a celebration of the festival of lights and will offer a fusion of styles, themes and
mediums. "I have captured Maharashtrian women on canvas with a realistic touch. I focus on women from various cities, towns and villages and the way they present themselves," says Dutta Thube, a Pune-based artist who will be exhibiting eight paintings.

Artist Amol Pawar's paintings capture his fascination for Sadhus through snapshots of their glowing faces while artist Ajay Deshpande has done a series on folk musicians. "I have been researching folk musicians and am captivated by their style and body language," says Deshpande.

Till November 11, 11 am to 7.30 pm
At Next to Jagtap Nursery, off Golibar Maidan, Solapur Highway, Camp.
