The miscreant was using the account, which has now closed down, to interact with a number of people

An unidentified man created a fake Twitter account in the name of Leader of Opposition, Rajya Sabha, Arun Jaitley.u00a0The BJP leader had approached Delhi police, following which the department's cyber cell lodged an FIR and is investigating the case. u00a0

Police sources said, the BJP leader had approached Delhi police on October 3. In his complaint Jaitley mentioned the fake account and said the perpetrator had also used his photo. The accused also made a few tweets on some issues on the social networking site.

Probe on
After investigation, cops found that the miscreant was using the account (@jaitleyarun) to interact with a number of people. Jaitley had also provided some printouts of the account's activity to the police.u00a0

The miscreant has closed the account now. Delhi police had approached Twitter to trace the IP addresses of the culprit. The police are still searching for the accused.
