"The complainant, Singh, had registered a case of Internet banking fraud on December 22. Of the two, one belonged to Zende," said PSI Shivram of Miyawali Nagar police station in Delhi. "Also, Rs 3 lakh was withdrawn from Zende's account immediately after the transfer."
According to the Delhi police, Zende was working as a BPO employee in Mumbai. She claimed that a friend had borrowed her ATM card under the pretext that somebody was sending money to her account. Zende said, "The police have said everything, I will not tell you my friend's name as I fear that will alert him. I want him caught."
Shivram said, "It is too early to say whether she was cheated or not. Rs 2.5 lakh were deposited to another account named Shri Swami Samarth Travels but we could not trace them."
