The two Iranian girls, Farima (26) and Azar Fasle, arrested for assaulting a police sub-inspector after being stopped during a drunken drive campaign on February 18 finally got bail yesterday.
However, they'll only be released from jail today, as their lawyer failed to produce the required documents before the court. The court granted bail to the duo on a bond of Rs 30,000 each. They were also asked to pay a surety of Rs 25,000 each, which was paid by Dr Anil Kumar Gupta, a Bangalorian.
Court orders
The court also ordered the accused to visit the Commercial Street police station every alternate Sunday and not leave the city without informing the police. The police have sent letters to Iranian embassy. Meanwhile, Sub Inspector Rao Ganesh G, who was assaulted by the girls, said, "The court's decision will sendu00a0 a message to all who believe they can get away after breaking the law."
