It's sports that takes the lead at superstars, the new sports bar in NCR
It'S not always that you are in a mood for mushy dinner dates. Often you just want to grab a mug of beer and watch Man U and Arsenal fight it out. If similar desires are doing the rounds in your mind, drive to Superstars, a sports-themed lounge bar where unlimited drinks, matches and super enthusiastic crowd make sure that even a lonely soul does not crave for company. We recently visited the place to sample their menu and came out on a positive note. Read on.
Wand-erful
Parking wasn't a problem at this factory prices mall, we creaked our way to the second floor where the lounge was. From outside, one could just get a glimpse, but as we walked in, we found the place to be quite big. The d ufffdcor also keeps in mind the theme with basketball nets as lamp shades and a pool table to play while sipping your booze. The place is frequented by mostly corporates and loud conversations are a part of the ambience. Half of the restro-bar is a no- smoking zone while you can puff on the other side.

Start in style
Shying away from the standard stable of cocktails, we ordered beers to go with our food. Superstars is a culinary whirl as well, boasting of Indian, Oriental and Continental fare. So we started our evening with chilli chicken with cashewnuts and murg gilafi kebab. The chilli chicken was succulent and the kebab let off an earthy aroma. They also stock a great variety in vegetarian fare, the pick among them being spinach and cheese bites (a must have) and chilli paneer with cashewnuts. The cashewnuts added zest while the paneer was fresh with onion and capsicum.
All for chocoholics
A generous bowlful of the main course -- lamb bhunay --u00a0 appeared steaming hot at our table. While it was blander than we expected, the meat was perfectly cooked, we had it with hot tandoori rotis. The high point of the meal may well have been the dal makhani -- very home-style and striking a right balance between low-oil content and taste. The cajun paneer fajitas was nothing great. More stuffed than an Amritsari kulcha by now, we had to try the choco mud pie and the rocky mountain. Both being chocolate preparations, the mud pie was simply amazing while the latter was a glassful of chocolate cake with a scoop of ice cream. If you live or work around the area, try this place for a drink or two.
