Flamingos grab all the attention here
A birdwatcher’s paradise, Bhigwan, which is around 110 kilometres from Pune on the Solapur road, has been welcoming around 100 species of migratory birds. The main attraction at this spot in the backwaters of Ujjani Dam is around 400 flamingos.

However, ornithologists have cautioned amateur bird watchers against crowding this spot, as it may disturb the migratory birds. Bird lovers and visitors are being cautioned against littering, to avoid a negative impact on the safe haven of the migratory birds. A champion among the visitors is the Brahmani ducks, which fly to the spot all the way from Siberia.
