Two families from Delhi arrived at Ajmer on Monday to examine the corpse of a young woman that was found in a large trunk last week

Two families from the Capital and one from Jalandhar have so far arrived at Ajmer to identify the body of a young woman, which was recovered in a large parcel box dispatched through a transport company in Kishangarh town last week. But it's status quo at ground zero. Cops said the decayed face of the lady is probably creating problems in identification.

"We have sent the CCTV footage to the video lab. The images are not clear enough to identify the person who is booking the parcel," said a police officer who is investigating the case.

In the Capital, a family from Rohini area has claimed the body and the relatives went to Ajmer with Delhi police. The family who didn't wanted to expose their identity to the press told cops that their daughter has been missing for a long time.

"The family from Rohini told us that their daughter was recently married in Jalandhar. Her husband is an NRI and works in Italy. The family claimed that the deceased was wearing a ring of Coral and it might be a clue to the identification as their missing daughter too was wearing the same kind of ring. Our team has gone to Ajmer with the family members but they have been unable to identify the deceased," confirmed a police officer.

Ajmer police is still in Delhi searching for whereabouts of the deceased. The mystery begun on April 8, when a courier agency in Kishangarh near Ajmer found stench emanating from a parcel. After opening the parcel they found a trunk with a corpse inside. The cops then discovered that the parcel was booked from Milap Courier Company in Lahori Gate area of Delhi on April 2. The sleuths have found the CCTV footage of the suspect, which is unclear. They are now trying to make a sketch of the rickshaw puller who was seen with the trunk.
