When it comes to entrepreneurship, women have time and again proved their capabilities. Vanita Bhandari is a case in point.
As director of DBS Corporate Services, Vanita has taken the number of business centres from 400 to 600 across the world.
She has been closely involved in the setting up of the DBS centre on Cunningham Road in Bangalore's central business district.

Worthy inheritor
Having inherited the business from her father Shamsunder Aggarwal, who started the Diners Clubu00a0 credit card franchise, she is determined the grow the business and take it to new heights.
"My father wanted to set up a club for business people. He intended to provide enhanced services to his Diners Club credit cardholders. The idea expanded to include comprehensive business services on a pay-by-use basis," she says.u00a0
Over the years, she has set up new centres at Chennai, Mumbai, Bangalore, Delhi, Kolkota and Hyderabad.
"When it comes to business, Mumbai tops the list closely followed by Bangalore. The IT sector has made Bangalore an attractive destination for us," she adds.
Brave words
"Recession has not really affected my business. In a way business is steady because people who were planning to invest heavily in land and buildings for their own offices are now using business centres," she says.
