A one-and-a-half year old son of a businessman was allegedly kidnapped by a maid from their Maharani Bagh residence area in South Delhi.
The police said the businessman Vikram Singh had hired a maid a couple of weeks ago but had not got her verification done by the police.
"The 19-year-old maid Seema, a native of Jharkhand, was recruited by Vikram Singh directly. She used to work full time at their house and lived with the family. In the evenings, she used to take their one-and-a-half year old son Ishaan to park.

But on Sunday she did not return from park. The family looked for her in park and nearby areas but when she and their son were not found, they approached the police," said DCP, (Crime) Ashok Chand.
An FIR was also lodged on Sunday evening at New Friend's Colony police station. "The maid used to sleep in a single room at Vikram's house.
We have searched her room to get a clue about her but so far haven't found anything. She did not use any mobile phone," said a senior police official. Vikram deals in fancy lights and has a factory in Okhla and a showroom in Khan Market, The police have declared a reward of Rs 50,000 for providing information about the maid.
