Capt Gopinath on a new mission
Founder of low-cost airline in India, Capt Gopinath filed his nomination today to contest from Bangalore South Constituency. Police prevented him from conducting a rally as there was no 'prior permission'. He submitted the nomination along with his supporters.
Former railway minister Jaffer Sharief filed his nomination papers today. He will contest from Bangalore North constituency with a Congress ticket. There was a lot of speculation whether eight time MP would contest this time or no.
Former police commissioner H T Sangliana also filed his nomination papers from Bangalore Central constituency. He is contesting on a Congress ticket. He had won the last elections on a BJP ticket. He was expelled from the party after he voted for the UPAu00a0supportingu00a0the civil-nuclear deal.
