Akshay Kumar has always exuded a street-smart vibe. Now, we learn, he is good with his hands too. A cop in Tees Maar Khan (TMK) describes his character as: "Koi aisee tijori nahi hai, koi aisa tala nahi hai, jo yeh aadmi nahin khol sakta."

Akshay seems to be living this line in real life too. After he reportedly swiped socialite Parmeshwar Godrej's bracelet at a wedding, it was alleged that he surprised his TMK co-star Katrina Kaif by flicking her wristwatch, and even stole director Farah Khan's diamond bracelet.

"Yes, Akshay flicked my diamond bracelet when I had gone over to his house to play cards this Diwali.u00a0 It's not the first time.u00a0

I also remember him holding my hand once while chatting. After a while, I realisedu00a0 my watch was missing," says Khan.

Khan says when she was about to leave the Diwali party, she realised her wrist was empty. "We conducted a massive search all over the house while a poker-faced Akshay sat quietly till the last minute, with the bracelet in his pocket."

Marvelling at his skill, Khan says the actor is very good with hand tricks and sweet-talk. "He involves you in a conversation even as he is slipping off a ring or a watch from your hand. At an event once, he stole a journalist's mike!

He also managed to flick purses kept inside bags that a few women journalists were carrying."

The sporting Khan admits to being the perfect thief herself. "When I was a kid, I took Monopoly money to a grocery store to buy sweets.

Before the shopkeeper could open the notes, I had fled the shop," she laughs. But she got the marching orders when her mother figured. She recalls, "My mother took me back to the shop keeper and made me return the sweets and pay him. It was very humiliating."

Kumar's co-star Katrina Kaif says the actor is perennially up to mischief but is rarely caught off guard. "I tried to settle my scores with Akshay once by offering him some trick chewing gum, but he just calmly turned my hand around. He realised I was upto something!" she says. Kaif of course denies that Kumar ever stole anything from her. "If he did, I have no idea about it!"

Kaif hasn't stolen anything from strangers but she admits to flicking her sister's clothes without her permission. "When my sister Christine would figure that clothes were missing from her wardrobe, I'd shift the blame onto another of my sisters."

Kaif hates being at the receiving end , though. "I received a watch as a Valentine's Day gift, and it went missing the very next day. This happened on the sets of Welcome. I was heartbroken."

When confronted, Kumar prefers talking about when he was a victim of theft. "As a teenager, after splurging on clothes at the roadside Fashion Street market, I was returning home by local train when someone flicked my bag!"
