Two six-coach trains introduced to offset carriages reserved for women
Whether Delhi Metro should have introduced six-coach trains before making reservations for women is a moot point, now that two Metro trains with additional carriages have been introduced by DMRC.u00a0

The two six-coach trains on the Dwarka-Noida and Dwarka-Anand Vihar routes left the Yamuna Bank station at 9.30 pm on Thursday. According to the Delhi Metro Rail Corporation (DMRC), the move will ensure a comfortable ride for commuters, given the huge rush in the present four-coach trains.
DMRC Director (rolling stock) HS Anand said that six-coach trains were likely to be introduced on the Jahangirpuri-HUDA City Centre line by February 15 as this Metro stretch, one of the busiest, carries about 12 lakh passengers daily.
"There are specific stopping points for four-coach trains on the platforms but once the six-coach trains come, the points will change. To get passengers used to the change, the stopping points have been changed on the platforms of this route from Thursday morning itself," he said. The additional coaches will be able to accommodate about 600 more passengers per trip.
