New Delhi: It was a chilly morning today with mercury dropping to 6.7 degrees Celsius while moderate to dense fog continued to disrupt rail services.

However, flight operations remained normal at the Delhi Airport. Visibility was 400 metres at 8.30 AM, a marked improvement from yesterday when it was zero.
"The minimum is a notch below the season's average while the maximum temperature can be expected around 17 degrees Celsius. Humidity at 8.30 AM was 97 per cent," a weather official said.
According to rail authorities, 30 trains have been cancelled and 75 have been delayed due to poor visibility. Yesterday, the minimum temperature was recorded at 7.5 degrees Celsius while the maximum settled at 16.3 degrees Celsius, five notches below the season's average.
