Three of Team India's bowling legends will now helm cricketing affairs in the state. Ace leg spinner Anil Kumble and his team swept the Karnataka State Cricket Association (KSCA) elections held yesterday and bagged 21 of the 24 posts with only three going to the Wadiyar group.

All the top six postsu00a0-- president, three vice-presidents, secretary and treasureru00a0-- were won by Kumble's team while the Wadiyar group managed to win three institutional member posts representing other founder institutional members in Bangalore and other zones.
Kumble won the elections for the president's post by getting 559 votes against Srikanta Datta Narsimharaja Wadiyar's 516. The three Vice-President posts were won by Roger M Binny, Sadananda Maiya P and Venkatesh Prasad B K, who got 646, 917 and 687 votes respectively.

Javagal Srinath got 644 votes and bagged the post of Secretary and Tallam Venkatesh bagged the treasurer's post with 592 votes.
There were a total of 1,489 voters, including 1,260 life members and 229 clubs across the state were eligible.
u00a0"I am feeling great after sweeping the 2010 elections. It was the first time for most of us and I am very happy that we won all the six top posts and six Managing Committee (Life Members) posts.

We have a very good team and we have three years to achieve what we set out to do. We will strive hard as a team. We have got the posts and now we will have to work hard," said Kumble.
Great moment
Javagal Srinath said, "It's a fantastic experience and a great moment for us. I thank all the voters and life members who voted for us and made us victorious.
A new day will start for all of us when we wake up tomorrow. We have lots of responsibilities which we will have to carry out.
We will have to work towards improving facilities for life members, upgrading the clubhouse and much more."
All the members of the newly elected team promised that they would work as a unit for the next three years.
Team spirit
"Members have shown trust in our team and voted in favour of us. We will work hard for the next three years and make Karnataka a model for the country," said newly elected Vice President Venkatesh Prasad.
"I am happy for Kumble, Srinath and Prasad. It's time to see Karnataka prosper," said Prasad's co Vice-President Roger M Binny.
There was a tie between Merchant Cricket Club and Jawahar Sports Club in which Jawahar club was elected after picking lots.
Taking over
The newly elected team is expected to take over in a couple of days. The team members will meet at the KSCA this afternoon to decide on the next course of action.
