The parking attendants take Rs 20 for six hours for both two and four-wheelers and Rs 600 to issue a monthly pass.
The railway administration has recently given 600 sqm land to construct a new parking lot behind the state transport bus depot at the station.
Commuters are demanding that officials build sheds at the new parking space for daily travellers or create a multi-level parking system.
