Acting on the information that the bombers arrived at the German Bakery in an autorickshaw, the Pune police have launched a manhunt for the rickshaw driver who ferried the suspects.

Note to drivers
The police have released a note that reads "We appeal
to rickshawallas who dropped anyone between 5 pm to 7 pm on February 13 near Hotel O
or the German Bakery to contact the Crime Branch. Names of the persons who offer this information will not be disclosed."

The cops have also appealed to the autorickshaw unions to assist in the investigation.

"They stop us at various points and ask us some really weird questions. They ask us about where the passenger is coming from, his identification and the luggage he is carrying. How are we supposed to know all this?" said a rickshaw driver, requesting anonymity.

"We want to help the cops, but they are troubling us too much," he added. A police officer, on condition of anonymity, confirmed that they were on the look out for the rickshaw driver who ferried two to four people to the German Bakery on Saturday.

"The CCTV footage and eyewitness accounts reveal that the suspects were carrying a bag. The rickshaw driver can help us zero in on the spot the suspects engaged the autorickshaw," he said.
