A similar awareness campaign was held at the Pune Institute of Computer Technology (PICT) in Dhankawdi. The event was attended by PICT Principal Dr P T Kulkarni, Assistant Commissioner of Police Abhay Yeole (Swargate), Deputy Commissioner of Police (Zone II) Raghunath Khere, DCP (Narcotics and Cyber Crime) Dr Sanjay Shinde, SPI Nagnath Wakude (Bharti Vidyapeeth police Station), Police Inspector (Crime) Anil Ade (Bharti Vidyapeeth police Station).
Members of the NGO members performed a play depicting the horrors of drug addiction. The audience, which comprised students of PICT, were influenced by the performance. "This is an overwhelming step taken by the city police to curb drug addiction," said Archana Kale, sports director of PICT. SPI Wakude said: "We need support from the youth and NGOs like Muktangan to control drug crimes and addiction."
