Delhi police claim to have recovered the weapon of offence - a .32 bore pistol - in the triple honour killings case that took place on June 20 in Ashok Vihar

Delhi police claim to have recovered the weapon of offence - a .32 bore pistol - in the triple honour killings case that took place on June 20 in Ashok Vihar.

This will potentially strengthen the case against the three accused Ankit Khari (22), Mandeep Nagar (23) and Nakul Khari (21), who had been taken to Uttarakhand in order to retrieve the weapon.

"We have found the firearm in Rishikesh and we will now compare the bullets to those found in the body of the deceased with the help of ballistic experts. This will be crucial evidence in court against the accused. Although they have confessed to their crime we still needed some substantial evidences to produce in court," said a police officer.

The cops are still searching for the fourth suspect in the case, Rakesh Singh. Rakesh allegedly helped the accused flee and dispose off the weapon. The team of Delhi police is now on its way back to gather the forensic evidence in the case. Sources say, during interrogation the accused have not shown any kind of regret for killing their sisters.
