Cops gather evidence on links between Valley organisations and terrorists


Delhi police's special cell is believed to have gathered 'enough' evidence to link not just the separatist leader Syed Ali Shah Geelani, but other separatists' organisations in Kashmir too with a terrorist arrested recently.




On January 22, a special cell had apprehended Bhatt along with Mohammad Siddiq Ganai, and Ghulam Gilani Laloo, both residents of Sopore and Farooq Ahmed Dagga from Srinagar.u00a0 Bhatt, who had been arrested twice earlier in connection with a hawala case in Jammu and Kashmir had disclosed his association and financial dealings with the Hurriyat faction.u00a0

In the last week of December 2010, on the basis of information regarding hawala money being sent to various organisations and individuals in Jammu and Kashmir, surveillance was mounted and a caseu00a0 under Unlawful Activities (Prevention) Act was registered. "During investigation we gathered enough evidence through electronic surveillance that the hawala money was being circulated openly to a few organisation in Kashmir," the sources stated.
