Maharashtra Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis on Monday appreciated the concern shown by a Chinese leader on the drought situation in the state.

"Thank You Mr Han Zheng for your concern for drought situation and willingness to extend help in the drought-affected districts of Maharashtra," Fadnavis said, after his meeting with Han Zheng, Member of political bureau of the Communist Party of China and Member, Shanghai Municipal Committee.
Fadnavis said the two discussed "ways to increase collaboration and need to prepare a joint plan to move ahead with sister city agreement between Mumbai and Shanghai."
"Looking forward to set an example for the world by taking collaborative steps for sister cities of Mumbai and Shanghai," Fadnavis tweeted. The CM described the interaction as "a very good meeting".
