Drones that can be controlled by the human mind and those which can mimic actions of living creatures, e-scooters that weigh only 4 kg and helmets with panoramic views are just some of the major attractions at the Indian Institute of Technology Bombay’s (IITB) Techfest. The institute’s annual festival will be held from December 16 to 18.

The exhibition segment is one of the biggest draws of the fest. Mind-controlled drones from the US, Morphofunctional drones — which mimic actions of living creatures — from Switzerland, ISRO’s launch vehicles used for space missions like Chandrayan and Mars Orbiter will be a part of the fest. “It will highlight fundamental research being carried out and the technologies developed at IIT Bombay,” said a source from IIT-B.
