An initiative of the Mocha Treehuggers community (a community of nature lovers started by the coffee place) and The Root (a group that tries to merge art with activism), Eco Bazaar is being held to celebrate the World Environment Day today.
The idea, the organisers say, is to bring together small businesses to re-introduce the urban consumer to grassroots artisans and their products. "Our focus is on products that have been organically culled from earth and created using materials and ingredients that exist in harmony with our surroundings," says Shobita Kadan, VP Marketing, Impresario Entertainment and Hospitality Pvt Ltd, the parent company of Mocha.
You can expect to find eco-friendly products that include lamps, finger puppets, organic and bamboo tee-shirts, vegetable bags, totes, accessories, as well as papier m ufffdch ufffd containers and elephant poo notebooks.u00a0
