Nagpur: A high-level Etihad Airways team visited the Multimodal International Cargo Hub and Airport at Nagpur (MIHAN) to explore the possibility of launching a cargo airline service from the city, it was officially announced here today.

According to MIHAN release, the Etihad Airways team comprised Vice-President Indian Subcontinent Neerja Bhatia, Vice President Cargo David Karr, Vice President Network Planning Alex Featherstone, General Manager Airports Mathew Davies and Senior Manager International and Public Affairs Mokha Watta.
The team visited MIHAN and met senior Maharashtra government officials after an invitation from Maharashtra Chief Minister Devendra Fadanvis, the release stated. "India is a crucial part of Ethiad Airways' global cargo and passenger network and we are already a long-term investor through our stake in Jet Airways," the release stated.
MIHAN Technical Advisor S V Chahande, Chief Engineer of Maharashtra Airport Development Company (MADC) S K Chatterjee, Senior Airport Director Abdesh Prasad and General Manager Abid Ruhi explained technical details of the Mihan project to the visiting Etihad team, the release stated.
