Music and dance lovers in Pune have a reason to rejoice as the city is all set to host the 8th Shaniwarwada Dance and Music Festival.

Promising to be a huge affair that will witness extravagant performances by artists from across the nation, the two-day fest will be held at Shaniwarwada Fort from February 21.



On the first day, there will be performance by Shama Bhate, disciple and daughter-in-law of Late Rohini Bhate, Rahul Sharma, son of Pandit Shiv Kumar Sharma and his mother Barkha Sharma, who's a trained Bharatnatyam dancer.

On the second day, a dance drama performance by well-known actress and danseuse Shobana Chandrakumar will be showcased.

The two-hour dance performance would be basedu00a0 on the theme Maya Ravana.u00a0 According to actor Jackie Shroff, who was present at the announcement of the festival, the recital would surely mesmerise the crowd.
