Everyone wishes to parade in niche stuff from labels like Gucci, Guess, Calvin Klein and Mango, but the exorbitant price tags have failed you many a time. However, the Clothes Mountain an upcoming fundraiser sale organised by politico and animal-rights-activist Maneka Gandhi will make your pricey dreams come true. Here's more of the throwaway tale.
Twin win 
The two-day event will be accommodated in the weekly Wednesday Flea Market of the Select City Walk. It will pool in almost 10,000 high fashion garments from top-brands. On July 15-16, all the merchandise will be priced between Rs 300 and Rs 500. And yeah, they won't be fake.
"Every year, our organisation People For Animal (PFA) thinks of various interesting ways to raise funds and awareness. This year's fundraiser has been designed in light of the current recession. We knew people would not be in a position to shell out huge amounts, so we thought of selling mangoes at the price of jaamun," says Ambika Shukla Maneka's sister who's also involved in the project.
The cover up
The fund raised will be used either to improve the existing animal shelters all over the country, or in opening the new ones. So, as the cool, stylish clothes cover you, the beasts smile, too!
