WHAT'S ON checked out a new eatery that serves mouth-watering Malwani dishes and can't wait to head back
If you are a fish lover, you can add one more option to your eating out list. Situated on one of the busiest roads of the city, it's difficult to miss the newly-opened restobar, Curry n Spice.
Ambience: The eatery is divided into three sections the outdoor sitting area has plastic chairs and tables, the ground floor has been used as a bar area and the first floor doubles up as the family section. Both the floors are done up in teak wood and there are pretty chandeliers dangling from the ceiling at the bar. The family section is warm and cozy.
We liked: For starters, we ordered the Thai Chicken Mushroom Soup (Rs 60), which was served in a couple of minutes. The soup was yummy and consisted of chicken pieces, sliced mushrooms, chopped garlic and green chillies.
The manager advised us to check out their Malwani and Goan fare. After going through the menu, we opted for the Prawn Malwani Curry (Rs 160), Paratha (Rs 15), Mixed Veg Raita (Rs 50) and Jeera Rice (Rs 35). The Malwani Curry tasted great with the Paratha. While the curry was neither too spicy nor overtly sweet, the raita was very refreshing.
Service: Curry n Spice scores full marks in the service department. The attendants are well-versed with the menu card and the manager personally advised us, coaxing us to try the King prawns instead of the small ones, as they tasted better.u00a0u00a0u00a0u00a0
