Look who is getting tech-savvy and pro-youth now. Son of the soil H D Deve Gowda is all set to woo young and urban voters with his home pages and interactive forums on social network forums

With BBMP polls fast approaching, techies and young netas in the JD(S) are making all efforts to turn their leaders H D Devegowda and H D Kumaraswamy tech savvy and youth friendly. They are designing a website exclusively for the JD(S) and tap urban voters through blogs and social network forums.


"Once the job is done and things fall in place, both our leaders Deve Gowda and Kumaraswamy would be available online for chat with young and urban voters," said Naganna, the general secretary in charge of the task.u00a0




Around 35 engineers from various IT companies like Wipro, IBM, HCL, who were in Lokparitran will work on the JD(S) party website and interactive forum. While the party website caters database of party hierarchy and party's performance in recent polls, the interactive forum will be designed to reach out urban folks through online campaigns.

Are they ready?
But leaders, on the other hand, were confident of competing with tech savvy leaders in other parties with their new approach.

"Deve Gowda is always for technology," said K S Kumar, close aide of the former prime minister. "Though he isn't that tech savvy, he would learn a few things about the website and start answering the queries once they start coming in."
