Au00a0clash between two groups continued at the Yashwantrao Chavan Memorial (YCM) Hospital after the injured were taken there for treatment late last night.

Security guards and staff had a tough time containing the passions of the uninjured members of the two groups as they came to blows even as the wounded were being treated inside the hospital. Police officials rushed to the spot to control the crowd.

The two groups were from Nehru Nagar in Pimpri. They got into a fight late in the night and four men between 20 and 25 years of age were severely injured. They were taken to the YCM Hospital around 11 pm, with more than 50 people from both camps gathering at the hospital. As the doctors treated the injured, the crowd waiting outside got into another fight.

Both gates of the hospital were then closed, causing inconvenience to families of other patients as they could not enter the hospital.

"We have been waiting outside for the past 45 minutes, but because of the unruly crowd the security guards refuse to open the gates," said Avilash More, a relative of a patient in the hospital. "They have asked us to wait patiently for some time."

The doctor on duty said the four people admitted after the clash had head and leg injuries but their condition was stable.

"We had to close the doors because their relatives and friends got into an argument," said Dr Sonekar. "They also wanted to come inside the hospital, which could have created further nuisance for other patients."

A complaint was lodged at the Pimpri police station under Section 324 of the IPC, which deals with voluntarily causing hurt by dangerous weapons or means.
