THE H1N1 virus claimed seven more lives over the weekend, including that of a pregnant woman, pushing the death toll in the city and the districts to 315. 3,53,841 patients have been screened for the disease and 1,051 have tested positive since April.
The deceased have been identified as Musale Pushpa Balasaheb (30) and Kamal Bhage Rakshe (37) from Ambegaon, Jagdevi Nagappa Jamadar (27) from Khed, Mina Anil Deshmukh (22) from Haveli, Mandabai Babasaheb Sasane (55) from Kothrud and Jaya Prakash Dingreja (31) from Pimpri. Chhaya Mahesh Shilke (21), who was six months pregnant and was being treated at Sassoon Hospital, breathed her last at 8.45 pm yesterday.

Dr Uddhav Gavande, deputy director, State Heath Services, said all the patients had been suffering from cough, fever and breathlessness for the last one week.
The patients were being treated at Sassoon General Hospital, Aditya Birla Hospital, Poona Hospital and SFICU YCMH.
