Assistant police inspector J A More of Paud police station, who is investigating the case, said, “On Monday, around 6.45 am, Saurabh’s father left him on his two-wheeler at Brilliant society in Paud, where teacher Deepa Pathak takes his Chemistry class. There was a test on chemistry, but, he did not turn up for the exam and, around 8 am, Saurabh jumped from the sixth floor of the building. We are probing the case and have not yet received any suicide note”

Speaking to mid-day, Deepa Pathak, Saurabh’s Chemistry teacher, said, “Saurabh was a brilliant student, and was good in academics. He was very regular to the class and hence this news is shocking. On Monday, we had test, but he was absent.”

One of his friends revealed, “Saurabh had secured 95 per cent in the tenth standard, and was an introvert.”

According to the police, “A constable who was at minister Javadekar’s house actually saw the boy jumping and rushed to the spot. He rushed him to a hospital, where he was kept in the ICU, but was declared dead by doctor after a few hours.”
