Known as guitar virtuoso to all music lovers, Greg Howe, the American guitarist and composer is famous for his funky and syncopated rhythms. And this weekend it is Bangalore's turn to witness the man on stage creating magic with his strings.

Along with band mates Jude Gold on guitar, Kevin Vecchione on bass and Gianluca Palmieri on drums is already to set rock Bangalore. So for all the music lovers out there, this weekend is your chance to sit under the stars and listen to this unique mish mash of instrumental rock, hard rock and jazz fusion.

Mother Earth is giving kids enough reasons to smile. In association with Tulika Books the store is releasing a series of books on the Panchatantra along with other merchandise like mugs, tees, photo frames, wrapping paper and building blocks among other things. And that's not all.

Children's author Jeeva Raghunath has some tales up her sleeves on magical donkeys, foolish frogs, chatty tortoises and cunning rabbits for eager ears. Kids aged three or above can take part in this workshop.u00a0

The 14th installment of Strawberry Fields, the nation's largest college rock show will take place this weekend and is sure to get all rock lovers headbanging. Around fifty bands will fight it out for the top spot with some intense competition.

This year Inner Sanctum is one of the rock acts headlining the festival. Along with the high octane performances, look out for food stalls and air guitar competition.

An artists' residency usually means a position at a gallery or studio, but the Indian and international artists with the Mobile Artistic Platform (M.A.P.) have been travelling South India getting inspiration and are ready to share the findings of their journey.

The work is in a range of styles and mediums, (including a puppetry show!) and centres on themes of sustainable tourism, artistic collaboration and cross cultural exchange.

The installation begins on Friday and the Open Studio at 1 Shanthi Road will be open every evening over the weekend to encourage the audience to come a have a look and join in with the works in progress.u00a0u00a0u00a0
