Here's a new watering hole that stitches up the one created in your pocket by plush bar-lounges

At most pubs, spirits soar highest between 4 pm to 8 pm. How clever, considering your boss doesn't even give you the slightest sign of EOD by then. The result: you end up paying through your nose for that drink, and there's no way you can do without it. Someone, however, has just answered your SOS. At PocketBar, you can take a trip through tully gully without worrying about the moolah.

Drinks
They have a mast mix of Indian and imported liquor. Apart from the usual mojito,u00a0 daiquiri, screwdriver and cosmopolitan (Rs 180 each), there're the signature cocktails like Coco Libre, Melon Kemikaze and Dar Rum Sour, which are served at 180 onwards. Teetotalers can enjoy mocktails like Italian smooch, virgin green apple mojito and Vaquero at the same price. "We're offering happy hour prices all day. So, corporates or youngsters who want to take a drink or two before they come home can drop in anytime and enjoy guilt-free," assures Dheeraj Aggarwal, owner.

Food
There's a lot on the snack track, too. We loved the chicken samosa (Rs 180), chicken nuggets (Rs 180), paneer skewers (Rs 150) and Mediterranean bruschetta (Rs 150). Their specialty, though, are the dynabites; sinful to the last bite. These dumplings, filled with hot chewy cheese, do all they can to melt you as they do, themselves. The fish finger, chicken sausages and salads come next on our scorecard.

And no, the menu isn't restricted to appetisers. In main course, the best bets are butter chicken, dal and roti. We were too tipsy to notice the other stuff.u00a0

Ambience
It's a small place, as neat as the drinks themselves. Well organised and red-tinted, the seating can be reshuffled for small parties. The bar counter has around ten seats, apart from which there're six tables, more than enough to accommodate the kind of crowd that comes. The music's a mix of many genres.
