Eve teasing leads to fight in Delhi government school; 3 students, 2 teachers injured
It was a case of alleged eve teasing that resulted in a fight between two groups of students in the Delhi government-run Sarvodaya Co-ed Senior Secondary School in Nehru Vihar in north Delhi on Wednesday. In the brawl, three students and two teachers of the school were injured.

The incident took place at around 10 am when around 15 boys, some former students of the school, armed with rods and sharp weapons entered the campus and dragged three students out of class and started thrashing them. Two teachers who tried to intervene were also beaten up.
However, the police said the incident seemed planned.
Cops said they received a call from the school authorities at around 10 am that around 15 boys had forcibly entered the school compound and were thrashing students. "For the next eight to ten minutes, the boys thrashed the three students and set a motorcycle and bicycle on fire before fleeing the spot," said a cop from the Timarpur police station.
The injured boys have been identified as Sudhir, Vikas and Jitender, all of them students of Class XI.
Cops said out of the 15 intruders, a few were former students of the school who had been suspended for indulging in violence. They have been identified as Rahul, Santram, Harish, Mahesh and Satyendra.

According to statements made by students to the police, the problem started when one of the victims recently eve-teased a girl of Class XII. The girl, whose brother is a former student of the school, and an accused in Wednesday's incident, brought a few friends along and thrashed the three students.u00a0 The students also told the police that the accused teased girls on the campus. The police, however, refused to confirm this allegation.

Following the incident, extra police personnel have been deployed around the school. Parents of students assembled in front of the school and protested against the lack of security on the campus.
The police have registered a case against the accused under Sections 435 (mischief by fire or explosives), 452 (making preparations for causing hurt) and 323 (voluntarily causing hurt).
