"Our economy is expected to grow at 7 per cent this year and we are optimistic that we will return to a sustained high growth path of 9-10 per cent soon," the prime minister told the annual conclave for the Indian diaspora.
"We wish to accelerate our efforts to effectively address the key constraints in the areas of infrastructure, agriculture, heath and education," he said, while inviting the Indian diaspora to invest in the future of their country of origin.
He was addressing the eighth edition of Pravasi Bharatiya Divas - India's annual convention to connect with its 25 million diaspora in some 130 countries.
