It's time to celebrate the Maharashtrian PGu00a0 Wodehouse who wrote evergreen humorous stories. Pulotsav is an annual event organised by the Aashay Sanskrutik in memory of author and humourist PL Deshpande or Pu La asu00a0 he was fondly known.

The 8th Pulotsav will be scheduled from November 8 to November 18. The festival will begin on 8th November, which happens to be the birth anniversary of Pu La Deshpande. Now in its eighth year, there will be events like films screenings, book exhibitions, discussions, interactions and cultural programmes spread over 11 days.
"This festival showcases the multifaceted personality of Pu La and what he stood for," says festival director Satish Jakatdar. "Deshpande was a multifaceted person in every way because of which the festival took shape."
This year, there will be three awards presented at Pulotsav as well. The Krutagyanata Sanman will go to social worker Sindhutai Sapkal, the Pulotsav Zenith Asia will go to Madhur Bhandarkar, the Tarunai Sanman will go to Ajay-Atul and Pu La Smruti Sanman will go to noted poet ND Mahanor.

Passes will be available at Pathfinder, near Neelayam Talkies, Sadashiv Peth from 11 am to 2 pm and 5 pm to 8 pm (closed on Thursdays)
