After the Pink Chaddi campaign, Bangalore's online community is pushing youngsters to observe March 1 as Kamasutra Day. After all, it's Indian, no, they are asking the Sri Rama Sene.
People are using blogs and social networking sites to reach out to friends and family and urging youth to join them.u00a0 Bangalore has already topped the number of registrations.
But campaigners maintain that the observance has nothing to do with sex.u00a0 It's only about getting the message across.
"We want this message to reach as many bloggers and online users as possible," said Bopaiah, a software engineer.
"We hope more and more people join this unique campaign against the Sene's moral policing."
Indignation
"Who are they to curb our freedom? We condemn such attacks," said Sudhakar, another techie. "Besides urging youth to join the campaign, we support any number of protests against Sri Ramau00a0 Sene activists."
Please join in and contribute to show how this great event, that is based purely on Indian culture, can be celebrated, said a Facebooker.
More gifts for Mutalik
The campaigners will also send Kamasutra CDs to Sene leader Pramod Mutalik who was deluged with pink chaddis on Valentine's Day.
But Mutalik says such campaigns won't stop him from what he has been doing.
"Such cheap stunts will neither affect me nor stop me from what I have been doing for many years," said Mutalik. "We stick by our principles and caution them that they will have to face the consequences if they go ahead with such things."
