Meanwhile, former IPS officer Kiran Bedi met with Anna yesterday. She inquired of his health discussed various issues, including his agenda on the agitation. She later said that she would be joining Anna in his fast from Saturday.
“Till now in my entire life I have never sat for a fast in any of the agitations, but now the time has come to do so and I will join Anna. The government is not keeping its promise of passing the bill in the Parliament. All political leaders are only saying we will pass the bill since the last agitation of Anna, but it has not happened yet. Anna is not alone and the common man is with him to bring the Jan Lokpal Bill,” Bedi said.
Speaking about the upcoming elections, she said, “In the elections next year, the people should change this government. And the new government will pass this bill and create new history.”
In a show of support, college students took out a rally to the tehsildar’s office in Parner, which is located close to Ralegan Siddhi. u00a0
