A grand wedding turns grander. Often more guests turn up on the D-day than expected or invited. The same happened at the wedding of Congress leader Kanwar Singh Tanwar's son on Tuesday. More than 20,000 guests attended the ceremony as against an earlier estimate of 15,000 reported by MiD DAY.

The extravagant ceremony took place at a farmhouse in south Delhi. Guests had a gala time amidst elaborate arrangements of food and fun. Many guests were found asking about the two main attractions of the wedding, a silver model helicopter reportedly gifted to the groom, Lalit, by the bride's family andu00a0 performance by Bollywood artistes.

"This is more than a five star party. Weu00a0 all want to see the helicopter. We are looking forward to performances by Bollywood celebrities which will be held on March 3 and 6," said a guest.Till late on Tuesday, VIPs kept pouring in. Luxury cars were seen making their way in and out ofu00a0 the venue.

To help the guests find the exact location easily, hoardings were put up at ten kilometres before the marriage venue. A stretch of about four kilometres to the venue was lavishly decorated with flowers and lightings. The farmhouse was also decorated with various flowers whose aroma filled the air. From Indian to Chinese, all varitiesu00a0 of dishes were available. So the event wasn't just a visual treat.u00a0
