TaaraGo's tagline sums up the motto of this two-month old group: Do something new. Though started only in August this year, the group already has 1,700 members who are eager to try out different things and live life to the fullest.
What an idea
"The concept arose from one of my personal experiences," recalls Anil Chouhan (41), founder of the group. "A friend of mine called me up one day. She wanted to do something new over the weekend, something creative, but she did not know exactly what and where. TaaraGo was born out of a passion for learning new things and the difficulties faced in finding information about them."
Adds Anil, "TaaraGo will give make it easy for eager learners to explore their skills." So whether you wish for an adrenaline rush with kayaking or relax with power yoga, you can do it here. Earlier this month, the group went trekking and paragliding. Workshops on belly dancing and personality development and communication skills are currently on.
Passion no bar
According to member Wafa Haji (23), the group is about "constantly learning, living life to the fullest, about finding your passion and following it". He added, "I don't want to go clubbing here I can get involved in say, bungee jumping. I am constantly active." Adds Kosar Abbasi (25) who teaches belly dancing to interested members, "This group is fun to work with."
TaaraGo will have a centre in Koregaon Park soon.
