Techie's car damaged by transport company that was engaged to take it to Pune from Gurgaon

How many days does it take to transport a car from Gurgaon to Pune?
Even if you don't have the required experience and don't run a transport company, 15 days could not be your answer.

his Swift car through Vishal Packers and Movers.

However, for Akshay Sharma who works with Apple Computers, Pune, the wait has not ended. Sharma, who had booked his Maruti Swift car to be transported to Pune with Vishal Packers and Movers, is yet to reach him.
The office from where he booked his car is closed now and all that he got so far are assurances and the information that his car has been damaged beyond repair and is stationed at a garage in Vadodara.

Sharma purchased a Swift VXI car on April 1, 2010 and got a job in Apple Computers, Pune in July. He wanted to take along his car and therefore got in touch with Vishal Packers and Movers to get the car transported to Pune.

He paid Rs 8,050 and the car was handed over to the transport company August 15. The vehicle was to be delivered in Pune on August 20.

"We paid Rs 5000 in advance. The vehicle was booked by the transporter under CN no 1541 dated 15th August 2010. I waited patiently till August 21 but there was no communication from the company on the status of the delivery. When I called them upu00a0 the next day they told me the delivery would be made the next day, early morning," Sharma told MiD DAY.

"When the company again failed to make the delivery, I got in touch with Hari Om Sharma, northern regional head of the company. He said the driver of the trailer on which my car had been booked, has taken the truck to his hometown in Jaipur. He said the car will reach me in another 2-3 days," said Sharma.

Waiting impatiently, the techie called up Hari Om on August 26 and the latter told him that the driver had

abandoned the truck near a hotel in Vapi and they were arranging to tow it.

His friend in Vadodara told him that his car has been damaged beyond repair. Sharma has filed an FIR with Delhi Police.
