Glamour graveyard at HQ's
Bats, ghouls, monsters, witches, skeletons and zombies; you'll find them all doing the rounds at this Colaba pub. At the dot of every hour, guests get something fun, like a round of free shots for the ladies. Groove to Commercial and House music all through the night. In keeping with the Glamour Graveyard theme, the dress code is film legends of the past or a famous character they have played, like the blood-curdling Joker (Heath Leger), the terrifying Mogambo (Amrish Puri), people's darling Princess Diana or glam puss Marilyn Monroe. Not like we need incentive to dress up, but those who do will be honoured with free drinks or discounts. Make-up artists will be on standby to lend you a scare appeal.
At: 166, Indian Mercantile Mansion, opposite Regal Cinema, Colaba.
FROM 9 pm onwards
CALL: 22883982

Thriller Night at HRC
Gorge on Goo Goo Dolls Goblin Goo, Frankenstein's Fingers and Vampire Bats as Hard Rock Cafu00c3u00a9 summons Michael Jackson from the dead with a monster bash for Halloween. Designed around the popstar's music video from the highest-selling album of all-time, it's a Thriller Night, literally. Staffers in old shredded jeans, torn shirts and out-of-the-grave hairdos will surround an MJ dress-alike (remember the famous red suit?) like in the iconic video. Everyone gets a free Thriller shot as they enter the club. Show up in costume and you'll get a drink coupon too, not to mention a chance to win the costume contest. Party to wacky Jackson tracks as life-size skeletons glow in the dark, Jack O' Lanterns and vampire bats hang, and fog machines blur the lines between reality and illusion.

what is halloween?
The festival of Halloween is celebrated every year on October 31. It is inspired from the Christian holy day of All Saints, a festival that celebrates the departed souls who have not yet reached heaven. Halloween is not a religious festival per se and is celebrated by everyone. It is associated with symbols such as the jack-o'-lantern and pumpkins. On this day, people wear spooky costumes, attend costume parties, tell scary stories and watch horror films. Children go for trick or treating from house to house, where they playfully ask for treats (such as chocolates) in exchange for not destroying property.
