The theft happend at Dhankawadi on Sunday early morning in the open land at Taljai pathar. On the basis of Santosh Prakash Jagdale's complaint, the Sahakar Nagar police have lodged an FIR against Pradeep Shyam More (28) of Wadgaon Budruk and his accomplice Tahir Ansari of Dattawadi. Pradeep has been arrested, while Ansari is still absconding.
"He was nabbed by Assistant Police Inspector Khot, while he was patrolling in the area called Teen Hatti Chowk," said Police Sub-Inspector Tejaswini Yadav.
"Pradeep was standing at the junction with his car in a suspicious manner, so he was questioned by Khot. The suspect told us he works as a marketing executive in some private company and that he was only accompanying Ansari.
"The two suspects allegedly barged into Jagdale's property and cut two sandalwood trees worth Rs 10,000 each," she said.
