Let off after interrogation and a fine of Rs 150
Commuters travelling in Metro on its blue-line routes had to face difficulties as thetrain service on both the sides got disrupted after a man jumped on the track at Noida Sector 15 Metro station. The man was challaned with Rs 150 by Metro officials and was set free after interrogation. Due to the incident, the commuters had to wait for half an hour before the services returned to order.

A CISF official, who did not wish to be named, said the man was identified as Anil and had to go to Sector 16. He, however,u00a0 got down at Sector 15 Metro Station by mistake.
Wrong station
"When he realised that he had got off at the wrong Metro station, he jumped on the metro track and started running towards Sector 16 Metro station. Bystanders informed the CISF officials and Metro staff about the incident after which trains of both sides were stopped," the CISF official said.u00a0u00a0u00a0
The man was detained by the CISF and was interrogated thoroughly. "Anil is a native of Bihar. He came to Delhi and had to go to Noida, Sector 16. During interrogation, he said he was unaware about the rules and therefore jumped on the track," the CISF official said.
Previous cases of suicide attempts at Metro Stations
On June 5, a 27-year-old laboratory assistant named Sandeep, working at Hans Raj College of Delhi University, had jumped off the Sikandarpur Metro station, Gurgaon.
Sandeep received major injuries on his head, hands and legs and breathed his last at Paras Hospital.
In another such incident, on July 4, a 30-year-old woman, who was reportedly depressed after a fight with her husband, had jumped in front of a Metro train along with her two daughters at the Seelampur Metro station.
